OnTarget CPA was one of five firms nationally awarded a 2021 co-sponsorship with the AICPA for the George Willie Ethnically Diverse Student Scholarship & Internship Program. The program honors George Willie, a former chair of the AICPA’s PCPS Executive Committee and the AICPA Minority Initiatives Committee.
Through this program five ethnic minority accounting students pursuing a CPA license received up to $20,000 towards their final year of study and each recipient received an internship opportunity. Tairu Jozaitis, a student at Purdue University-Northwest completed a successful internship with OnTarget CPA during the 2021 spring season.

Maria Jose Suchite Leiva was accepted for participation in the AICPA’s 2021 Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop. A bilingual Staff Account born in Guatemala; Maria serves as the primary contact for OnTarget CPA’s Spanish speaking clientele. She is an invaluable asset for our small business owners, helping them navigate compliance and regulation issues.
OnTarget CPA president Michael Jamison served on the AICPA’s Private Companies Practice Section Diversity Selection Task Force in 2020-2021. The task force determined the criteria and selected ethnically diverse students for AICPA-sponsored scholarships and internships.
Michael Jamison was also selected by the AICPA to participate in One Young World’s Finance & Business 2030 Event, an initiative to unite and mobilize the finance and business community to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The May 2020 summit was postponed due to the pandemic; however, Jamison looks forward to contributing to the global conversation in the future.
