Staff Accountant Opportunity for Experienced Professional

Due to our continued growth, you will have the opportunity to join a leading tax and accounting team as a Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant include accounting and reconciliations, tax return preparation, tax planning, and entity set up and planning. This individual will ensure the timeliness, quality and accuracy of all work product and provide exceptional value for clients. This position reports to the Tax Manager.

Specific Responsibilities

• Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets

• Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including general ledger accounts

• Prepare financial reports

• Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns

• Prepare 1099s, personal property tax returns, file payroll and industry-based taxes

• Tax planning

• Tax research

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Entity-set up and planning

• Tax research

• Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and maintaining compliance

• Continue ongoing education by participating in webinars, workshops, conferences, and networking events

• Achieve required annual CPE credits

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Ensure accuracy and quality control of all work product

• Maintain confidentiality with personal and sensitive data

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree

• Internship or professional accounting experience

• Familiarity with accounting principles, ability to analyze figures

• Detail orientated

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
